5K fun!

So El and Mom went to a 5K run. I wanted to go, but they are serious runners and I decided to hang out with Dad instead of the girls and all the pressure. So while the girls ran, we went to the bank, the shoe store, donut shop and the car wash – exciting but no photos. The girls finished 59:43 (under an hour - yeah!) and the weather was 90°F. They did find some cool acorns along the way and sat on the curb for awhile during the water stop. It is water STOP after all. It was a very exciting time. Allergies SMALLERGIES

So, 2 days after I went to the allergy doc, my mom went to see him. We found out she's allergic to almost everything, including DOGS. Yep, she's the reason I have to have "strict avoidance" to puppies and peanuts. We both go back in a couple weeks for follow-ups and to find out what foods are on the list and probably a host of other things. It's a bit of a long story, but mom's a great case study as he's only seen 2 other cases like hers. Well at least we know I'm not an anomaly - we lemons can be in the bubble together. Can't wait for the fair this weekend. (0:

Summer Update

It should be the "Ellen Update" because they've only been taking pics of her! Anyway, El finished her ballet class - wasn't thrilled with it. She was super thrilled with a princess party she got invited to by her friend Reese. The girls got to dress up, get their hair and nails done AND make a purse. Along with eating cake and ice cream. I have to remind everyone that I am not a social inept (as the only photo of me my imply). I have been to parties and to many outings but my folks just don't take pics of me. That'll have to change or I might start biting again.

New Landscaping

Well after years of not liking the front of the house, my parents finally did something about it. They did have a lot of help from Grandma Susie and landscaping expert Papa Jim. We (and by "we" I mean Papa Jim and Daddy) pulled out all the yucky plants and planted new ones. Yep, we worked them like rented mules but the result is awesome. It's much more impressive in person so come see it!(hint,hint)

I Hate Dogs

Okay, I don't really hate them. In fact I love to look at them, talk about them and pretend to be one on occasion. HOWEVER, I am allergic. Yep, here's me after being licked by a nice doggie named Nugget and after a hefty dose of benedryl. It's hard to tell (picture from phone) but my eyes are swollen and I have hives all over my face. I look tough - like UFC fighter.
